We, the Queer Casual community, cherish the freedom to express our true selves and speak our truths!

 We are unrestricted by societal norms.

 Our social platform is a safe haven for embracing our unique identities, openly discussing our emotions, and supporting each other’s personal journeys. We want to be seen as casual citizens because feeling comfortable is a human right, and should exist in private spaces or public. In this singular reality we share, we want to be seen as casual citizens.

As Dean FM, the founder of the #QueerCasual movement, embracing my queerness through the art of makeup, fashion and rapping has been a lifeline for me.  While it might seem unusual, the mental toll of chronic disconnection and social discordance is all too real.

Personally, I’ve chosen not to endure such debilitating dysphoria, opting instead to embrace elements like hair, eyeliner, beats, and stylish attire that resonate with my essence. However, for others, they may embrace other outlets of expression.To clarify, it isn’t our responsibility to explain our experiences or identities to others.

For over 15 years, I’ve embraced my identity as a femme queen  without hesitation. Acceptance and validation have accompanied me on this journey, allowing me to flourish as a proud, impactful, and vibrant member of the global community. Hate cannot erase our existence or contributions from the fabric of time.

Our narratives, especially those of queer people of color, are diverse, and it’s my desire to provide an accessible platform for all stories to be shared. So with love and gratitude, I invite you all to share your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
